MAXLOG TRANSPORTATION AND TRADE LIMITED COMPANY PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY POLICY INTRODUCTION
As MAXLOG Transportation and Trade Limited Company (“MAXLOG” or the “Company”), we attach great importance to the protection, processing, deletion, destruction, or anonymization of the personal data of all natural persons with whom we come into contact in the course of our business activities, in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”) and the applicable legislation. We are committed to fully complying with all obligations set forth under the KVKK and the relevant legislation.
This Personal Data Protection and Processing Policy (“Policy”) has been prepared to provide information regarding the principles and procedures governing the collection, use, sharing, storage, processing, deletion, destruction, and anonymization of personal data by MAXLOG Transportation and Trade Limited Company.
This Policy sets out the principles regarding the processing, deletion, destruction, and anonymization of personal data belonging to data subjects by MAXLOG Transportation and Trade Limited Company. The provisions of this Policy apply to the Company’s employees, subcontractors and their employees, current and prospective customers, suppliers, business partners, affiliates, visitors, and all other natural persons who have a relationship with MAXLOG Transportation and Trade Limited Company.
PRINCIPLES AND PROCEDURES REGARDING THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
A. Definitions
The terms and abbreviations used in this Policy shall have the meanings set forth below:
Explicit Consent: Consent that is given freely, based on adequate information, and relating to a specific subject.
Recording Environment: Any environment in which personal data processed wholly or partly by automated means, or by non-automated means provided that it forms part of a data recording system, is stored.
Anonymization: The process of rendering personal data incapable of being associated with an identified or identifiable natural person under any circumstances, even by matching it with other data.
Deletion of Personal Data: The process of making personal data inaccessible and unusable for the relevant users in any way.
Destruction of Personal Data: The process of rendering personal data permanently inaccessible, irretrievable, and unusable by anyone.
Disposal: The process of rendering personal data permanently inaccessible, irretrievable, and unusable by anyone through deletion, destruction, or anonymization.
Data Subject: The identified or identifiable natural person whose personal data is processed.
Law / KVKK: The Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data.
Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
Processing of Personal Data: Any operation performed on personal data, whether by wholly or partly automated means or by non-automated means as part of a data recording system, including but not limited to the collection, recording, storage, preservation, alteration, reorganization, disclosure, transfer, acquisition, making available, classification, or restriction of the use of such data.
Board: The Personal Data Protection Board.
Special Categories of Personal Data (Sensitive Personal Data): Data relating to an individual’s race, ethnic origin, political opinion, philosophical belief, religion, sect or other beliefs, appearance and dress, membership of associations, foundations or trade unions, health, sexual life, criminal convictions and security measures, as well as biometric and genetic data.
Periodic Disposal: The deletion, destruction, or anonymization of personal data carried out ex officio at recurring intervals specified in the Personal Data Retention and Disposal Policy, where all legal grounds for processing the personal data under the Law have ceased to exist.
Company: MAXLOG Transportation and Trade Limited Company.
Data Processor: A natural or legal person who processes personal data on behalf of the data controller based on the authority granted by the data controller.
Data Controller: A natural or legal person who determines the purposes and means of processing personal data and is responsible for establishing and managing the data recording system.
